Dusshera Celebration by Sanskarian Toddlers

India is better known as a country of festivals. Dusshera is one of the important festivals in the long chain of festivals which are celebrated throughout the year. Sanskarian Toddlers of preprimary and children of primary sections staged a short play on “Ramayan” Little children played the role of different characters like Ram, Sita, Laxman, Hanuman, Ravan. Children were very much excited and delivered the dialogue that they had memorized
Principal Dr. Prabha Sharma narrated the story in brief of a great battle fought between Ram and Ravan. She explained that Ram represented the forces of good and Ravan is a symbol of evil.
There is a juxtaposition of Good and Evil. But ultimately, Good triumphs over Evil. Ravan is defeated because of his evil. She exhorted the children to acquire good habits in life and abandon evil.
The programme was concluded by burning the effigy of Ravan” by Principal and Senior Administrator Mrs. Swati Mehta. Crackers were blasted on this occasion. The festival was celebrated with enthusiasm and vigour.
